Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a backpacker. I'm a traveler. I'm a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student from California majoring in European Studies. I have studied in France, and I served a mission in Romania. I am a self-proclaimed travel addict and have backpacked all over Europe. I love to read, cook, hike, explore, write, make big plans, and learn peoples' life stories.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom joined the Church shortly before she married my dad. Her solid testimony and powerful faith have always been a motivating example for me. But it has been my own pondering and searching that has given me a very personal, very real testimony that Joseph Smith restored the Savior's true gospel, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world. I find absolute peace and joy in knowing the Plan of Salvation--that I have a purpose in this life. I love that the Church is the same wherever you go in the world. Whether in France, Romania, Scotland, Mexico, Japan, etc. we all teach and learn the same gospel principles and rejoice in the same knowledge that the one, true church is established on the earth, that Jesus Christ is the head of it, and that it is led by a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Since returning home from my mission, I have been involved in organizing trips to the Temple, for other members to perform sacred ordinances. I attend the temple as often as I can, and have made a goal to read the scriptures every morning before I start my day. I love to share the joy that the gospel brings me with others and try to live in a way that reflects my love for Jesus Christ.
