Hi I'm Edelweiss

I'm a single mom of a wonderful child of God. I served a mission despite the odds. I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I was born with cerebral palsy. I have been bullied a lot. I am grateful that the gospel came into my life as a little child. My father was the very first one to be converted then my mother, my siblings followed, one by one, within a span of 10 years from when my father was baptized. I am in college again so I can have a better life for my child and myself. Being a single mom is really hard but I'm so grateful for the gospel that helps me to know who I am and that our Heavenly Father is mindful of us. I hope my child will grow up to be as strong as she is now in the gospel. She is also very helpful at home. She is a great inspiration to me. She is an excellent student as well. I hope she will not lose sight of her goals. My father is one of my heroes, he was the one who baptized and confirmed me a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also gave me my patriarchal blessing! My parents are great, they have been good examples of service, sacrifice and love for the gospel. I have faith that if I stand firm and true to the gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ and endure to the end my eternal reward will be great!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was blessed to have it in my life at an early age. I have acquired spiritual knowledge through studying the scriptures, attending church, serving a full-time mission, and praying. My testimony grew stronger while serving my mission. Everything was clearer and the Holy Ghost has testified to me so many times that what I was sharing was true. (And will always be true).

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday, except when the weather's really bad then my daughter and I just stay home and either read the scriptures, or watch a video of talks from General Conferences. I don't smoke nor drink any alcoholic beverages. I sing in the choir and do my duties to the best of my abilities.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we don't worship Joseph Smith. We revere him because he was the instrument of the Lord to restore the gospel on earth. In the process of doing the Lord's work, he has encountered so much grief and pain from enemies of the church. He was a great man! Show more Show less
