Hi I'm Larry Lovell

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an Electrical Engineer by profession. I am also a Radio Amateur. I love just about anything related to electronics. I am now retired and doing things that are more service related than making money. Life is good, but as always, still has a few ups and downs. As a Scientist/Engineer, I have found that there is no conflict between True Science and True Religion. Scientists propose a theory and try to prove that it is correct. Religion receives revelation from God concerning the way things are. Truth is things as they are as they were and as they ever will be. Some concepts change and improve, but truth is a constant.

Why I am a Mormon

My father is a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He instilled in me a desire to search out the truth of things and to find them. As with anyone who truely understands Jesus Christ, we realize that there are a lot of things that we know through scripture study and through the Spirit. There are also a lot of things that we do not understand yet, this is where faith comes in. As I have grown in experience in life, I have come to know the reality and personal interest that our Saviour has in us. He knows us by name and he really does care about us. I testify that Joseph Smith was called to be a Prophet of God. I testify that he saw what he said he saw and because of this, I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer. I testify that they live and have provided us with a purpose in living.

How I live my faith

Although Church attendence is not really "required", it is necessary to continue to maintain the Spirit of the Lord with us on a daily basis. Service is another aspect of life. I have raised a family and they in turn are raising wonderful grand children. I do my best to serve my family and neighbors.
