Hi I'm Pati

I was born in Samoa in the Island of Manono, moved to Utah when i was close to 10. I'm happily married with 2 children.

About Me

I love hanging out with family and friends. Boating, jet skiing, snow skiing, camping many outdoor activities are just some of my hobbies. Love learning my father brought us to the U.S to gain an education and improve our lives and I feel I am fulfilling part of that wish by going back to school to earn my MBA. Currently own a mortgage and insurance firm. I'm a father of 2, one boy who is 12 and is a fantastic kid who will one day be even a better leader and a girl who just turned 3, a definite joy in our lives. I've known my wife since I was 12 and she was 11 and we have been best of friends since, she's definitely the glue that holds our family bond together. We have many get together as family and friends always over good delicious food, which by the way is my weakness. My favorite foods: 1) Polynesian Food 2) Mexican 3) Chinese 4) Italian 5) American! And being Samoan well food is a past time  I enjoy watching American Football, Rugby as well as Basketball. Most sports I like watching and enjoy playing football and basketball, but since the internet I like to learn how to utilize the internet through learning how to socialize through the various social networking sites. Overall I like socializing and learning new things, meeting new people and enjoy eating.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a mormon because of the guidance it gives me in my life. I feel like I’m held to a higher standard because of the truths I’ve learned. Knowing where I came from, why I’m here and where I’m going has helped my life stay focus on The Plan I am on. My relationship with Christ has deepened since I’ve joined the Church. I’m a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was converted when I was in high school and right after graduation I attended a year of college. I wanted to share what I have learned and decided to serve a mission. I served in the island of Micronesia in the island of Chuuk. I can definitely say that service has impacted my life for good; I was able to help many families come to the knowledge of the restored Gospel. Knowing that I am a child of God and that He knows me and has sent servants to help me along this Plan has deepened my testimony. My appreciation of the Atonement in regards to revealed truths has helped me know and appreciate in an intimate basis the sacrifice our Lord and Savior has wrought in my behalf.

How I live my faith

I will tell you this, if you are a person that is NOT willing to work to help in the salvation of others then this Church will be a challenge. There are no paid clergy and all teachings and leadership comes from members of each local ward (unit). Providers of families of this Church have full time jobs and then on top of that they work 20-40 hours in addition to helping in their callings. For example, I’ve been involved in teaching Sunday school to 11 year olds, instructor for adult Sunday school, teaching nursery to 3 yr olds, in involved as a secretary for Sunday school organization, be a Ward Mission Leader, and many many other callings that we are asked to help out. I also volunteer to be a scout counselor as well as a chairman over the local scout troop. I attend church services 3 hours every Sunday and make it a point when I’m on vacation to attend the local church services. I live my faith by action, my faith and my works are reflective of my wanting to serve the ultimate Servant, our Lord and Savior.
