Hi I'm Roger Gale

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a common man with extraordinary blessings. I have a wonderful wife and five beautiful children. In this world of uncertainty and change, I have been blessed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some people call us Mormons. The Church has been a big blessing in my life, because it has given me the spiritual base to build my life upon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS family, and my conversion has been a gradual process over the course of my life. Each time I follow a correct principle, my testimony is strengthened.

How I live my faith

One of the things which is unique to our Church is the Book of Mormon. It is another witness of Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon everyday early in the morning, then I have personal prayer, and then I write in my journal. These activities get me off to a good start to the day, and then I go for a two mile jog, Monday through Friday. The thoughts that I derive from reading the Book of Mormon stay with me while I jog, and I feel ready to start the day. I have needed this spiritual base to deal with the challenges of life. Some of the challenges that I have had to deal with are having to find a new job, putting kids through college, moving, and having my children put in harms way. My membership in the Church has helped me to not be discouraged, and my faith has been strengthened, as I have put my trust in God and moved forward to meet the challenges head on. Another extraordinary blessing that I have been blessed with is the knowledge that there is a prophet on the earth who receives revelation from God to tell me what direction I should lead my life. Some of the counsel that he has given to married men is that they should love their wives and cherish their relationship. I have been blessed by this counsel, and it has made a difference in my marriage, as I have strived to put my wife first in my life. Along with the knowledge that there is a prophet on the earth today, I know that there was a prophet who was living in the year 1820 who had a vision where he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ as two separate glorified beings. His name was Joseph Smith. He eventually translated the Book of Mormon from an ancient record that Joseph Smith found in Palmyra, New York. By reading the Book of Mormon, I know that it is a true book, because I have prayed about it, and I have received an answer from God. I know that anyone can receive the same witness as I have received, for God is no respecter of persons.
