Hi I'm Morgan

I live in Northern California. I love doing anything outdoors and playing just about every sport. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a passion for soccer. I played for thirteen years and have coached a few teams over the years. I absolutely love playing and look for any opportunity to play now. After high school I had to focus on college and a way to pay for it. I am a college student working toward a nursing career. I love helping people and I love science and medicine. I am the only member in my immediate family. My family did not grow up attending any specific church. As I grew older my curiosity with religion grew and I wondered how people who did not grow up with faith or a religion chose one. Growing up I had friends who were members of the church. They taught me a lot about their faith by the way that they carried themselves and acted as well as answering many of my questions. When I was nineteen I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or became a Mormon. I have been very blessed to have a family that is so supportive in my decision to become a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was nineteen. In high school my curiosity as to how people knew which church was right for them grew. When I was nineteen a really dear close family friend took me to temple square which was a great opportunity for me to discover what exactly they believed in. While we were there we watched a movie about Joseph Smith's life. I could relate to him when he was deciding what church was right for him to join. He did something that I had not thought about. He prayed to his Heavenly Father and asked Him which was the right church to join. That night I when we got home and everyone else went to bed I offered up a prayer to my Heavenly Father. I asked Him which church He wanted me to join I also wanted to know if the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the most correct church on the Earth. I was worried that I would not be able to accept religion in my life I was a very serious and skeptical person who liked to have facts and proof in order to believe things. I thought the idea of faith was going to be extremely difficult for myself but I believed with all my heart that if Heavenly Father knew me better than I knew myself like I had learned at Temple Square then I knew it may be a challenge but He would be able to figure out a way for me to become a Mormon. The next day we went back to Temple Square and after one of the many tours I had a prompting to fill out one of their survey cards and they gave the option of requesting a Book of Mormon. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to read it and figure out if it was right for me. Little did I know that the book would be hand delivered my two missionaries who would help change my life forever. I took the discussion and after much prayer I decided to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That is how I became a Mormon.

How I live my faith

When I joined the church four years ago, I wanted to make sure that it was a decision I could live with and made sure that it was a decision I would not regret. I am not the type of person who only does things half way. When I decided becoming a Mormon was something that I wanted to do. I did it. I got baptized and have never looked back wondering if I made the wrong decision. I strive to practice what the church teaches. I am by no means perfect and do stumble quite often, but thanks the atonement of Jesus Christ I know that I can work to correct my thoughts and actions to be more in accordance with the Savior so that I may return to live with Him again.
