Hi I'm Glen

I live in Idaho and am a Sales Manager for a company based in San Diego California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah in a family with 2 older brothers and an older sister. I worked with my Dad in the summers in his Allied furniture moving business. I got married and had twins, a boy and a girl, but unfortunately divorced a year later. As I grew older I worked in LA and San Diego California with my brother in the clothing apparel business. After a few years I came back to Utah county and sold real estate with Coldwell Banker. There I met my current wife. We moved to Idaho and started our own business which we ran for 15 years next to BYU-Idaho. We now have two kids, a boy and a girl who are growing up too quick. They keep us young and we love our time together. When I get free time, I like to read, go fly fishing, motorcycle riding, oil painting or puttering around in my jewelry making shop. Life is good ! Not always easy . . . but good ! Life will always have its challenges and ups and downs, but we have truly been blessed by the Lord as we have tried our best to do what is right and keep the commandments.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I KNOW it is true ! Sure I grew up in a Latter-day Saint home, but there came a time in my life when I had to know for myself. I like to be free and I LOVE the ability to choose. Sometimes I have had to learn the hard way, but maybe it has been the best way for me. I got off track earlier in my life and thought I could find happiness doing my own thing. Fortunately, I have a loving Heavenly Father that was patient with me and helped me find my way back home. I have learned by my own experiences that happiness comes by following gospel truths. As I have kept the commandments the Lord has opened up doors that were previously closed. He has protected me and my family, both temporally and spiritually. He has guided us along our way and has saved us from needless suffering. We are not perfect people, but I can tell you one thing . . . there is no doubt in my mind, that when we try our best to keep the commandments, He will pour out his blessings. I have been the humble recipient of His spirit, The Holy Ghost, that has told me that God has restored His church once again upon this earth. That He loves us just the same as the people in Old and New Testament times and has called a prophet on the earth today to let us know what we should be doing and what to prepare for. I KNOW that it is through His priesthood authority that He governs His church. I'm so glad He showed me the way back. My life has never been the same and I've never been happier. I'm glad to be a Mormon and do the best I can to do what is right not only for me and my family, but for all those I meet. We have a great responsibility to bless the lives of people all around us. Being a Mormon helps show me the way.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday whether I am at church or just being apart of the community. Like I mentioned earlier . . . I am far from perfect and I make a lot of mistakes, but I keep on trying. Right now I am serving in what we call a Bishopric. I help the Bishop of our congregation (what we call a Ward) to conduct the affairs and help things run smoothly. My specific assignment is working with over 40 of our youth. I'm quite fortunate in that respect because I love the youth and our young people. They have so many challenges these days, yet they remain strong and true to what they know is right. I also enjoy being active in my community when possible. I believe we all need to get involved and help make things better for everyone, especially our kids.
