Hi I'm Elina

I am a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an active LDS family in California. I have two younger sisters. I studied accounting at BYU and worked in that field for 10 years. I am married to a dear man who is a physician. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work and provide for our family while he completed his education. We tried for many years to have children, but were never successful. Seven years ago, we adopted two marvelous children, a boy and a girl, within 20 days of each other! One day, we got a phone call, the next day, another phone call, one week later we held our little boy, and three weeks later we met our little girl - instant family! Being their mom is the best job in the world! I love to play the piano, do embroidery, cook, and play with my family. I love to watch old movies, read books, and bake cookies. I enjoy volunteering at school with my children and getting to know their friends and teachers.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life and I love it! My religion is woven through every part of my life, like a precious gold thread. I know my Savior lives and that He knows me and loves me. I know my service to my family, my church, and my community are valued by my Savior; I am important to Him. I am as certain of this as I can be of anything. I know that I can use every day to make myself better so I can be more like Jesus Christ and that He will forgive my mistakes and make up where I fall short. I pray every day that I can help my children come to know these things for themselves.

How I live my faith

My service in church is constant. I am currently the president of our women's organization. I love getting to know and serve all the women in our congregation. I have served all over the church with young children, youth, and teaching. In really love to teach the gospel. I get a wonderful feeling when I read and prepare the material and I can feel the hand of the Lord guide my to the things He wants to me teach.
