Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. I speak Dutch. I have six children and a wonderful wife.

About Me

I have been a Real Estate Broker for sixteen years. Our family is vegetarian and we love eating healthy foods. Our kids enjoy going out in our motorhome. Some of our favorite memories are sitting in the national forests without a cell phone or the internet. We like hiking, biking and exploring nature. When I married my wife she was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. Travel became our passion many years ago. I have had the opportunity to visit 63 countries. Some of our favorite places are, Tikal, Guatemala, Machu Picchu, and Jerusalem. In 2014 we will be visiting Ankor Wat in Cambodia where our oldest son will do his Eagle Project.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up on Vancouver Island, Canada. As a teenager I read Moroni 10:3-5 and took the challenge to read the Book of Mormon and pray about whether it was true or not. I decided to study the Book of Mormon and find out if it is true. I read this scripture every night anxiously asking the Lord if it is true. I was captivated by the stories and enjoyed reading this ancient scripture. After several weeks one night I knelt next to my bed and pleaded with God to let me know if this book is true. I prayed with all my heart. I felt the closeness of Heaven. I felt something that was the most amazing beautiful loving feeling come upon my soul. It was a feeling I recognized but had never felt before in mortality. It was the pure love of God. An overwhelming feeling of pure happiness and peace came upon me. Words can not describe what I felt. It was incredible. I felt God's love for all of His children. God loves us collectively and individually. I was amazed at the power and beauty of the Holy Ghost. As I write these words 20 years later tears come to my eyes. The Spirit of the Lord testified to me that God lives, the Book of Mormon is True and Jesus Christ is the Savior of this world. This was a major life changing experience. No matter what I hear I will go to my grave in the Lord's due time and always proclaim the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the Gospel. I now know the truth and it has made me free.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a good person and serve others. I teach my six children from the scriptures and feel peace, love and happiness in our home. In all the things I have seen and done in my life nothing compares to the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I plead with everyone to read the Book of Mormon and challenge it. I promise it will bring light and peace into your life. May God bless you as you search for Truth.
