Hi I'm Becky

I'm a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a music, movie, and history enthusiast. I live with my husband and my cat. I enjoy watching movies, reading books, playing the piano, singing, dancing, and running. Most of all, I love spending time with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in Utah by very Mormon parents. I was a very good girl and I usually did everything that I was told to. My family went to church every Sunday, even when we were out of town. When I was younger it was just how things were, but as I got older and really started to think about things, I decided I needed to know for myself it it was right. I studied my scriptures and prayed to my Heavenly Father to know if the things I had been taught my entire life were true. The answers I got were never major, extraordinary experiences, but rather subtle assurances that everything I believed my whole life indeed was true. I've witnessed the happiness it brings to me and to those around me. Because of these experiences I really know and have a testimony for myself that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon pretty much defines everything about me. I faithfully attend church every Sunday and I read from the scriptures every day. These make me incredibly happy. Something I love most about the Church is that it gives all of its members plenty of opportunities to serve. My husband and I are currently in charge of a tutoring program for inner-city youth in our community. It's a weekly program and it takes a lot of work, but it's been really great to see how we can make a difference in the lives of others.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

When Heavenly Father created the earth and sent us here He knew we were all going to make mistakes. That is why He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and atone for our sins. Through the gift of repentance we can fix what we've done wrong and through the atonement we can be forgiven of our mistakes. That is why we need a Savior, to save us from what we have done wrong!
