Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a stay at home Mom and a military wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading, singing, playing the piano, outdoor activities, and hanging out with friends, but most of all playing with my sons every day. I have a BA in Organizational Communication Studies. I had a career in Human Resources that I very much enjoyed before I had my first child and chose to become a stay at home Mom. Spending each day with my children is the most rewarding and challenging thing I have ever done. I teach a few piano lessons each week and teach Zumba classes at a local Gym. I am married to a wonderful man who is also my best friend. We enjoy family outings or just hanging out at home together. My husband is in the military and though we are both far from home we have made many friends on this exciting journey.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he atoned for the sins of all before giving his life on the cross. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he restored the true church. I have read the Book of Mormon and have received a personal witness that it is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ in addition to the Holy Bible. As I strive to live a Christlike life, I feel a sense of contentment and happiness that cannot be gained any other way.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in church and one of my favorites was being a youth leader. I really enjoyed teaching lessons and planning activities to help assist the youth in building their faith and testimonies of Jesus Christ. I do my best to visit with other women at church each month to see how they are doing and if there is any way that I can help them. I find peace in studying my scriptures and praying daily. I strive to be a good example to all those I come into contact with and especially to my family. I also strive to protect my family by fighting to keep adverse influences out of our home. We do not have cable or dish TV, we do not watch R rated movies and often not even PG-13 if they appear to have a vulgar or inappropriate theme. I know that my children will be exposed to plenty of vulgar things in the world so my goal is to make our home a haven.
