Hi I'm Maggie
I am from Idaho. I am a wife, mother and a doctor. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My husband and I got married during my first year of medical school. We are currently living in North Carolina, where I am finishing my residency in internal medicine. I have recently been asked to stay for an extra year to be a chief resident, after which we have plans to return to the West to be closer to our families. We have one child, a little boy, who is an absolute joy in in our lives.
Why I am a Mormon
Although I was born into the LDS church, there is a point in each of our lives where we have to gain a testimony for ourselves. As a teen, I was able to gain that testimony, but this testimony has been solidified over the past several years. One such experience that has strengthened my testimony was while I was in my second year of college. I had some health problems, and I received multiple priesthood blessings and answers to prayers that helped me get through. Ultimately, it was also my poor health and my experiences with physicians that led me to wanting to become a doctor. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each one of us and will help us to be successful in this life. By being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have gained a knowledge of our Heavenly Father's love and His plan for us. With that knowledge, I am able to live each day with peace, hope and joy, and a knowledge that with my Heavenly Father's help, I can accomplish anything!
How I live my faith
I am the music chairman in the ward. As a result, I plan the music for sacrament meeting and help with other musical opportunities in the ward.
