Hi I'm Matt

I'm an Operating Leader for a global service provider. I'm a runner. But mostly I'm a husband and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to an incredible wife. We have 4 terrific kids. I love watching them succeed, whether in school, sports, or whatever it is that challenges them. I have discovered a love of running. I'm driven by the feeling I get when accomplishing something difficult. Every single run is difficult. And every single run ends with a feeling of accomplishment. I have worked at the same company for 15 years, filling many roles over that time. My current capacity has taken me to some interesting places throughout the world. It's been quite an adventure. I am determined to not do things half way. That determination has aided in the success that I have experienced so far in life. My cup is not just half full. It's overflowing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church. But my own "conversion" developed over many years. I don't have an exciting moment in time that I can cite as to when I came to know that this was the true church of Jesus Christ. Rather, there came a time where I realized that I knew that it was. This knowledge came by way of many personal experiences and lessons learned. One of the greatest blessings of being a Mormon is that life feels much less complicated than it otherwise could be. I feel I have been given the guide book to help me navigate life. It helps me make decisions that will benefit me and my family, and avoid uncessesary hardship. Life will still bring great challenges. The knowledge that I have gained through this church has positioned me to better navigate these challenges. The church also provides an incredible network of great friends who live by a similar standard. I know I would not be where I am today had I not decided to to live my life in accordance to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

It is easy to become distracted with the many challenges that life throws at you. I try to prioritize my family above all else. When I am focused on them, the rest seems less daunting. I am reminded often by the actions and words of my children that they are sponges, so we teach them how they can also find happiness and peace through living the gospel. Knowing they are watching me gives me added encouragement to be a good example for them.
