Hi I'm Heidi

I was born in Las Vegas and grew up in Utah. I love adventures. I love my husband and baby girl. I make earrings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been skydiving and paragliding. I've been white water rafting and rock climbing. I love camping, fishing and kayaking. Road trips are my favorite way to spend time with my family. I love the Rocky Mountains. But since I had my baby, we've been relaxing and being at home more than ever. I'm so lucky to work from home. I can be here with my baby girl all day and still help provide for the family. Both my husband and I go to school and work full time, so having just those few minutes to relax and be together inside is where we find most our solace these days. I'm trying to start selling the earrings I make; I'm sorta nervous about that! It's a fun way for me to let out creativity and forget the troubles of the world. Plus, I just really love earrings. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because every time I've tested one of the principles the LDS church teaches, I've only ever seen that those principles are true. The principle of tithing for example. Every time I pay my tithing I know it's a commandment of God and that He will bless me and my family. Reading and praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true is another principle I've tested, time and time again and every time, just as is taught by the LDS church, Father in Heaven witnesses to me that the Book is also His word, as is the Holy Bible. I'm a Mormon because the principles and teachings are centered on Jesus Christ and what He's done for us. His teachings are what we study and do our best to apply in our lives. I'm a Mormon because I believe it's this church that will make is so that I can be with my family forever. The teachings of the church help us to stay strong, united, and happy as a family. I love my family, but sometimes family life is hard. When I apply the teachings of Jesus Christ as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my family life is better. I've never been happier than when I've lived as a Mormon is taught to live. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My husband and I teach the 8-9 year old boys' Sunday school class in our congregation. It's so fun to both teach and learn from those young men. They are full of Christlike characteristics like kindness and forgiveness. I also get to make visits to a few certain women in our congregation. Visiting these women gives me and them a chance to make sure our needs temporally and spiritually and socially are met.
