Hi I'm Melissa.

I'm a busy working mom of 2 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married, have 2 children with 1 on the way, and I work full time outside of the home. I enjoy playing sports. I love to be outside, reading, trying new foods and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church when I was 8 years old. When I was a teenager and young adult, I stopped attending the Church for about 10 years or so. I met my husband (who was not a member of the Mormon faith) and got married in a civil ceremony. After the birth of our son, we moved away from family and friends. It was very lonely. I decided to look up my local Church. My husband was looking for a job at the time, and he was able to get help with that even though he did not attend or was baptized a member. He decided to take lessons from the missionaries and then decided to be baptized. That was 9 years ago this March. We both have been active members since then. I am so happy that I know the true Gospel and belong to Jesus Christ's true Church. It brings so much joy and peace, even in times of turmoil. We have a great support system in the Church for really any kind of struggle that people may have. I know that I have used the services several times and feel very blessed to have so much help when I need it. I know that this is Jesus's true Church. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and through him, we all can have Eternal Life.

How I live my faith

At Church, I am a teacher for the 7 (turning 8 this year) year olds. It is very fun, but can be tiring since I have them for 2 hours every Sunday. I always try to be a good representative for the Mormon faith by helping others in need, being a good friend and keeping a positive outlook in life.
