Hi I'm Erin!

I'm a mother. I love to particiapte in, as well as watch, all kinds of music and sports. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my husband. He is very near and dear to me and I wouln't trade our marriage for anything in the world. We met while we were both going to school for our undergrads. We just recently had our first child, a boy, and neither of us can get enough of him! I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise Science. I chose that field because it taught me how our amazing bodies work and function. It also taught me how to lead a healthy, fulfillng life. I have a minor in music. I learned to play the piano when I was very young, elementary school age. And I learned my first intrument, the flute, when I was in the sixth grade. I absolutley love to learn how to play different instruments, it's kind of turned into a hobby of mine. Since learning the flute I have learned how to play at least 7 other instruments, but only own and regularly keep up with a couple of them. I also love to sing and have participated in many school, and community choirs. My favorite type of music to listen to and to play is jazz. It's nerdy and old fashioned I know, but nothing beats it in my book. I also love sports. Growing up I participated in soccer, basketball, track and field, and tennis. I've never understood long distance runners who can run when there's nothing to run after, or jump over. Maybe I'll get there some day. I don't just enjoy participating, but i LOVE to watch a good sports game on TV. But I do tend to favor the college teams over the pro teams.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because what they teach is true. And I know it's true. And you get to a point where you just can't deny it, or ignore it. I grew up in the church and gained my testimony very young. I can't even tell you of a certain time or place that I remember when I first believed what I was being taught. I only remember that whenever I'd even tried to question the teachings it all just felt wrong. And I would get a personal reassurance from my Heavenly Father that I was on the right path. One of my favorite things about our church is that it encourages personal revelation. No one is going to make you do or believe anything you don't want to. Free agency, the ability to choose and act for yourself is the very principle that our church relies on for it's members. We belive that each individual person can pray to our Heavenly Father and get their own guidance and direction. I cannot tell you how many times I have personally prayed and received answers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. Everyday there are choices to be made. And whether big or small, these choices and the actions that result from them, show my faith. I also live my faith through my church duties. I do my best to do all that is asked of me by church leaders, and by other members.
