Hi I'm Gracia Maria

I live in Honduras. I'm a third grade teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I majored in early childhood education and psychology. I love travelling, reading, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom introduced me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I have been a member all my life. I'm a Mormon because I know this Church is true; the holy ghost has testified it to me this church helps grow and become a better person everyday. Throughout the years the different youth groups and organizations helped me develop and increase my faith in Jesus Christ. I love how the focus is in Jesus Christ, our eternal savior and redeemer. The Church also gives great importance to family relationships, because they provide the greatest source of happiness in this earthly life. I love the inspired advice and counsel I receive from our leaders who receive modern revelation. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and it talks about Jesus ministry in America. Both The Book of Mormon and The Bible provide the fullness of the Gospel Jesus Christ established in this Earth.

How I live my faith

I have served in numerous occasions in different organizations of the church. I have served as the secretary of the women's organization in charge of strengthening families and helping those in need. We planned different activities and events to teach women different skills they can use at home. Among the things we did were: cooking, sewing, and spending time developing good friendships with the sisters. I also make monthly visits to make sure the sisters are doing well and have everything they need. I will serve wherever the lord wants me to serve.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Gracia Maria
Heaven is the place where God lives and the future home of those who do God’s will and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The hope of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the purpose of life on this earth is to teach us and prepare us that we, along with our families, might live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ eternally. After we are resurrected we will be judged and rewarded for the things we have done in this life see Revelation 2012,13. Jesus Christ taught His Apostles that in His Father’s house are “many mansions” John 142. Our loving Heavenly Father is anxious to reward all of His children according to their obedience to His commandments and their willingness to follow the Savior. Those who do these things and are worthy to return to the presence of God and Christ become “heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” Romans 817 of all that the Father has. They will return to live with Heavenly Father and with their families in His eternal glory. Those who choose not to follow our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will receive a reward according to what they have done in this life, but they will not enjoy the glory of living in the presence of God.
