Hi I'm Sharmayne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and my faith are first in my life. I am a wife, mom and a new grandmother. Currently I work in medical research.

Why I am a Mormon

Enough years of my life have passed to have a perspective of why a few of my life-changing decisions have been right. One of those is the decision to follow my heart and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that God is my Heavenly Father and He is aware of my life. He believes in His children--including me. Heavenly Father is kind enough and patient enough to allow us to find our way back to Him, with His help. Jesus Christ is God's son. He is "our way back to God." Daily I find brief quiet moments when I reflect on how God has helped me during the past hours. My faith in God and Christ has developed gradually as I have trusted them more and more, and as I have tried to do what God has asked.

How I live my faith

At home or elsewhere, I am happier when I can serve others. Serving others is a way that I try to live my faith. When my husband and I have served our children in small daily acts, we show our love for them and also for God. By teaching our children at home and also by teaching children of our friends at church meetings, we serve in an effort to help a few members of the next generation. By volunteering to organize service opportunities, learning events, and socials for adult women of our local congregation, I found that my own life was enriched as friendships deepened with wonderful women. Trying to show respect to all people that I meet is one way for me to show that I believe in God; I believe that He loves His children and wants us to respect each other.
