Hi I'm David

I'm a day in and day out Mormon

About Me

I am a man who lives each day as an adventure. I like to learn something new everyday to build my knowledge of the world around me and in the scriptures. I like to try different things. I am a renaissance man. I enjoy the outdoors. I like to interact with strangers and get to know them for who they are. I see everyday as an opportunity to do something good. I like to work hard and play hard. I play all sorts of sports, for example, Lacrosse, Football, Basketball, wrestling, and racquetball to name a few . I enjoy reading classics in literature. I enjoy watching sports on college and at the professional level.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow the Gospel everyday because the Lord guides me on his path to return to him someday. I find meaning in the scriptures that a loving Father always watches me and wants to protect me. I continue to live to be a Mormon because I apply all the teaching that God, Jesus Christ, and his prophets that he has sent, and the living prophet today to the test.I continue to find joy and love in this commitment. I received my personal witness of God talking to my heart and my mind of what I am doing is right in his sight. I received this personal witness by trying the doctrines that I may know for myself the truth and the valiantly of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I put on activities for my ward that they can be spiritually uplifting and also socially satisfying. I plan out activates that when people participate that they leave happy and uplifted. I live by the "golden rule" everyday no matter what happens in my life. I see everybody as God's children and try to work and communicate as a team with everyone in order for everyone to feel that they are a special someone. I try to live according to my faith how I treat everybody else. I participate in the community when there is service to be done. I try to put my needs second and try to serve other people in front of me.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We do our best everyday to apply the teachings of Jesus Christ into our life. We study his word and let it sit in our hearts and ponder about applications and meaning in our personal life. When trials and difficulties arise I take comfort in the things I study to apply to the test and take thought for it to carry me through that period of time. Afterwards, I can reflect back if it helped me be carried forward or not. If it had gotten me closer to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ I know that I'm increasing my faith and I continue to repeat the process. Show more Show less
