Hi I'm Kristie

I grew up in Maryland. I love to travel and learn about peoples and cultures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently in college, which takes up most of my free time. I enjoy spending what spare time I do have not studying with friends and family. I love music. Whether it's listening to it or making it, music brings me happiness. I enjoy learning about different cultures and countries, and I hope to use what I've learned in school to help make the world a happier, safer place.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been LDS my entire life, but I'm not a member only because I've been taught I should be. I have studied and prayed to know whether this Church is true. I know that it is. The Gospel has brought a lasting joy to my life that could not be filled in any other way. It has taught me the importance of family and faith. Life has its challenges for everyone. Nobody is spared. But, with the faith that God and my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, love me, I know I can take on life challenge's. I'm Mormon because I know the principles of the Church are true, and because I want to be.

How I live my faith

I've always been active in participating in church. In church, I have had the opportunity to teach a small group of women multiple times. Sometimes there was difficulty in balancing my schoolwork and preparing for lessons, but with time, I grew to enjoy this responsibility. I love having the opportunity to visit with other women in the church. Not only to share a brief spiritual message with them, but to ensure that they are doing well both temporally and spiritually. Church provides the opportunity to have a lot of challenging responsibilities, but because I meet with a lot of college-aged students, we have a lot of social gatherings that are really fun and often focused around service.
