Hi I'm Sarah

Educating children is my interest. I have taught school and am a mother of 8 children. I'm a lifetime Mormon with pioneer roots.

About Me

I love working with children and being involved with their education. Following school teaching, my husband and I raised 8 children. I was a home school mom for 10 years and currently spend much time with 16 grandchildren. In addition to attending to children, I enjoy sewing, crocheting, reading historical novels, gardening, and hiking. I also find family history research of particular interest and currently write life histories of my ancestors for publication. I have recently become an active member of the local Tea Party.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon Church and studied it's doctrine from my youth until I gained a personal testimony while attending college. I have chosen to live by Church teachings throughout my adult life, and my husband and I have raise our children in a home centered on the teachings of Jesus. I have found that full adherence to God's commandments has brought much happy living.

How I live my faith

I do all the expected Christian things such as honesty, paying tithing, reading scriptures daily, keeping the Sabbath a special day, serving others in need and avoiding worldly evils. I always accept callings to serve in my ward and have especially enjoyed my 15 years working with children in Primary. I have always felt a particular drive to get involved in humanitarian service projects. I have crocheted nearly 100 baby booties to give away, made multiple quilts and baby blankets and find much joy joining other women who get together to do the same.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes, Mormons believe that a marriage performed in the temple is a sealed relationship that will last through all eternity. Knowing that we have this potential, my husband and I have worked hard, weathered many trials and stayed completely committed to our relationship. This belief of eternal marriage gives rich value to our commitment. We know our relationship is eternal and that our children will also belong to us and live with us in heaven. We value each family member in a unique way knowing that we are sealed together. Problems take on a new perspective when there is longevity in the relationship. There is no giving up on a family member, we are in this family circle forever. Show more Show less
