Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a Mormon. Newlywed and just trying to figure things out.

About Me

I'm the baby of my lovely parents and have an older brother and two older sisters to tease me. I also have two new older sisters, another older brother, plus two more wonderful parents via my happy marriage. I've lived all over California, Germany, Texas, New York, Washington, Idaho and think it's weird that I married a born and raised Boiseian. I graduated from college in 2009, and work all day, wishing instead to be outside playing. I love my husband, bike rides, and picnics. I'm a starter gardener, beekeeper, and homemaker. I also am learning more about provident living and how to do good by this world. I have always wanted to marry a dreamboat check. and have little babies. I always want to be learning but sometimes get discouraged and have a difficult time making it through my current to-do list learn to knit, learn to be an amazing chef and read more every books hence my enormous pile of unknitted yarn, shelves of unsplattered cookbooks, and stacks of uncracked books. Don't worry though, I'll get there better believe it!.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that celebrated the gospel and have been taught my whole life that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and have had my parents as wonderful spiritual examples and guides. I didn't discover for myself that the church was the TRUE church through some spectacular moment, or a bolt of lightening. I didn't see a vision or have an angel visit me, but through study and prayer over years and years, I can say that I have felt in my heart the confirming warmth of the Holy Ghost, whispering to me that this is God's Church and that it is led by a true prophet of God. I love how this church makes me feel and it gives my life direction and purpose. I am truly blessed to be married in the Temple because that means my husband and I get to be together endlessly, a good thing too, because I'd be lost without him.

How I live my faith

My husband and I attend our family ward, full of converts, young babies, elder spiritual giants, and everyone inbetween. I serve as the Beehive advisor which means I teach the 12-13 year old girls a gospel lesson each Sunday. I am also in charge of the 12-13 year old girls at the yearly Girl's Camp for a week in the summer. Basically I get to have fun all the time, hear stories about boys and the excitement of a youthful outlook on life.
