Hi I'm Chris

I'm an Air Force wife, a stay-at-home mother of three children, with a small home business on the side. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in my late twenties. I've been happily married for five years. I have my Bachelor's degree and hope to continue to graduate school once my children are all in school. I love to explore my creative side by cooking, baking, crafting, sewing, and anything else I can do to serve my family and beautify my home. I love to do genealogy for both mine & my husband's families.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the overwhelming peace and joy I feel when I learn the truths of the gospel. I spent most of my childhood in many different churches giving me a strong moral compass and a basic relationship with Christ. As I studied this church, while in college, I couldn't help but realize how it all makes sense and how easily I understood what I was being taught, as if I already knew it, but had forgotten. The more I went to church, studied, and prayed, the closer I grew towards my heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Ten years later I'm still a Mormon because I can't imagine not being one, I have such great love for my Heavenly Father and all that he has given me through the restoration of His Gospel and that continues to grow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions. I do my best as a mother to teach my children the gospel and learn from the scriptures and through prayer. I serve as a teacher in Sunday school by teaching a class for any visitors, and new members. We learn a different gospel topic each week. My husband and I also help the missionaries as much as we can. We have them in our home regularly and enjoy going out with them to teach those whom they are teaching. I try everyday to better myself through Gospel study and personal application, mostly focusing on prayer, attitude, temper-control, patience, and Christ-like love. I spend as much time as I can serving those around me to show that love.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is my female family in the church, these are all the women 18 and older. These women are my gospel sisters, mothers, aunts, grandmothers, etc. that enrich my life and help me develop myself to my fullest potential. This organization increases my faith and testimony, helps my through trials and tough times, and makes me a better wife and mother through weekly interactions and other special activities with local female members. It also allows me to develop a more Christ-like love for everyone by giving me many opportunities to serve both those sisters I know in my town and those sisters I'll never meet around the world.
