Hi I'm Mary

I am from Minnesota, full time Mother of three crazy boys two have special needs, a navy wife and a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a large family, with divorce growing up with only one parent. Learning how to deal with life and with two families come together to create one big family. I love my family and all my sisters and brothers. I am a Mother of three wonderful crazy boys, two of my boys have special needs and have put us in the hospital many times. I am also a Navy wife I am so very proud of my husband and for his wiliness to serve his country. I work part from home, which means later nights than I would like but in return I am able to stay at home with my boys. I am so Native American, I do not know much about my native side but I am learning and I want to teach my boys about their heritage. I met my Husband out at BYUI 13 years ago we are now going on 11 years this August I married my best friend on his birthday and I am so very happy to have married him.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons why I am a Mormon and why I believe in the gospel, what comes to mind is what happened last winter our youngest son was born at 36 weeks and at 6 weeks old he caught RSV, we entered the hospital on a Friday and by Sunday we were in PICU. During this time I was alone, my husband was away at training and on his way home to be with us. I had to rely on the Lord to have him by my side while I was helpless with my baby in PICU hooked up to all those machines. I knew that if it was his time to go back to live with our Heavenly Father than that was what would happen and I would be OK, I knew I would see him again, he would be with our family forever and it brought me so much peace to know that this life is not just until we die, but we live on. We were married and sealed for time and all eternity my family will be together forever. I knew I would be OK I would be able to make it no matter what happened. Our son did make it and he healthy. No matter what the lord is on our side. It doesn't matter if my husband is in a different country at war or training in another state the gospel is still the same we feel the same spirit and the conformation from the Lord what is being taught. I love being a Mormon I love it so much.

How I live my faith

I am the in charge of all the primary age children which is from the age of 18 months to 11 years old. I teach every three months during our Sunday school. I am a visiting teacher to two wonderful ladies. We read scriptures with our boys nightly and say family prayer. I have had many different calling in our church and with each one I learn more and more about myself and how to serve others. I love when I am able to serve my fellow members of our church whether it's here in town or if we are doing a service project to help others who are in need. Right now we are collecting hygiene kits and our ward is asked to collect tooth paste. This is something our boys help me with. I am able to explain to them why we we serving others and how important it is it help others. I am an example to my friends I live my life in away that I ready to meet my Savoir if he was to knock on my door I would be able to let him in, I won't be ashamed of the things in my house. We raise our children in the gospel for them to learn why we go to church why we give thanks to pray in the morning and at meal times and before we go to bed. I teach them how the Lord and our Heavenly Father loves us and he wants to us choose the right when we are making our decision. I live each day in my Faith in the gospel.
