Hi I'm Kathy

I am a mother of adopted children. I am happily married and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for thirty years and we're still in love! I enjoy being with my family. There's no one else I'd rather be with. We have done a lot of camping and hiking. I have five children and two of them are adopted. I read mostly classics. I love to travel. I enjoy working out and eating healthy. I am a preschool teacher. I enjoy teaching. It's challenging and there's something new to learn every day. I teach four year olds to read. I also sing in choirs. I love music. I play the violin and I love to sing.

Why I am a Mormon

I live my faith by studying the scriptures. I study the Bible, and the Book of Mormon. I am also a teacher. I teach small children about Jesus Christ. They love to hear how Jesus lived. I am also the music leader for our meetings. I arrange musical numbers to be performed in our Sunday meetings and the songs the people sing who come to church. I love to sing. I especially love to sing about Jesus and all He has done for all of us. That's when I feel him near me the most. It helps me remember all the blessings he has given me. I also pray. I pray in the morning and at night, every day. I teach my children about Jesus and I teach them to be good people. I visit other women every month. I give them a message about living good lives. We serve each other. When someone is sick I take them a meal and check on them to make sure they are okay. I take care of their families. It's called visiting teaching. The most important way I live my faith is by loving and serving my husband. He is a good man and I am very lucky to have him. We do little things for each other to show our love for each other. I fix his lunch and make his bed for him. When we have misunderstandings I try to remember the things I love about him. That makes it so the little things that bother me don't get bigger than the reasons I love him.

How I live my faith

I am a Mormon because there are answers to my deepest questions when I study and listen to the teachings of the Mormon faith. When I feel hurt, sad or lonely the LDS faith comes to my rescue. There are people who care about me. My visiting teachers come and visit every month. They are people who have experienced the same things I'm going through and they share their trials and triumphs. My children learn the true doctrines of Jesus Christ in the youth programs. Our family relationships are strengthened when we take time to be together. The LDS faith has taught me to see the good in other people. It has taught me to see the good in life all around me. It gives me hope. I have a better attitude so I am happier. More than all of this, I believe this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I believe he is the head of this church and I want to be where he is. I want to follow him and be like him. That's why I'm a Mormon.
