Hi I'm Eddie

I'm a Mormon. I served our country for 10 years.

About Me

I was born in the church. My father was too. My mom is a convert. At a young age, I decided to break away from the church for a time. I decided that I didn't want to believe in the teachings anymore. I made it as far a prison. And even then didn't want to believe. Over time, I've come to the realization that Heavenly Father loves all of us. Including a sinner like me. So now I'm active in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel is true. I spent a long time looking for the truth out there. Several years were wasted looking outside the church. But slowly, Heavenly Father taught me what love really was. First, he taught me that He loves all of us. Even me. And I'm not perfect. Then He taught me to love those around me. No matter who they are and what they've done, He loves them too. That makes it easier to love them. Finally, He taught me to love those who hate me. Through this love, he taught me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It's lead by a true prophet. The principles are true. I feel loved and wanted here at church more than any placed I've been before. I study the scriptures and they continually testify to the truth that is the church. Simply put, if the church is true, then the prophet President Monson is truely a prophet. If he's truely a prophet, then so was Joseph Smith. If Joseph Smith was a prophet then the Book of Mormon is true. If the Book of Mormon is true, then the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. That's the circle. I know the church is true. I know President Monson is a true and living prophet. And I know my Heavenly Father loves me. Maybe that's the most important thing. Heavenly Father loves me, and you.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I love the General Conferences. I look forward to my next calling. And I look forward to participating in any and all activities. Mostly, I want to help my lost brothers and sisters find the church and know that it's true. We have to make it through this journey of life together. We should share it.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The atonement of Jesus Christ is the only thing that saves us from sin. Since Jesus Christ was the only one to live a sinless life, He was the only one that could make the sacrifice for us. Show more Show less
