Hi I'm Katie

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a suburb outside of Chicago. After graduation, I moved out to Idaho to go to school. I met my husband and after a few years we moved east. We have been married 10 years and have 3 active children. I am a soccer mom! I love my family. I love my kids, but I also love time to myself. I enjoy reading, blogging, card making, girls' night out and dating my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the Church, I had plenty of opportunities to pray and gain my own testimony. I am so glad that I did. I know that I would not be who I am without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has truly been a light in my life. It has guided me in so many ways. I can't imagine what life after death would be like, without knowing my family will be with me forever. Having this knowledge has made me realize how wonderful my Father in Heaven is.

How I live my faith

I am active in our congregation. Not only do I show my faith through weekly attendance, but through my service in our ward. I am the Visiting Teaching Coordinator. This program is designed to make sure all sisters are being taken care of and watched over. We make sure that their needs are met and provide service and love to them. We visit them at least monthly and sometimes even more often. We aren't just assigned to these sister, but we are friends to them. We come to love them. I also participate in our ward choir. It has been fun learning new songs and praising our Heavenly Father.
