Hi I'm Belinda

I'm have been a Mormon since the late 60s. I am a grandmother who's oldest grandchild has just graduated from high school.

About Me

I have three girls and one boy. After my husband died in 2009 my single son moved in with me to help take care of the house and also to save him money as he had already been out of work for a year by then. The contruction company he worked for closed it's doors and he couldn't get on with anyone else. They were laying off, not hiring. My girls are all married with their own homes. I have 4 grandchildren; the oldest one just graduated from high school.I enjoy reading and crafts and recording good movies for my collection. I work on food storage because I know what's coming. I believe what the prophet's have said about being prepared.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 19 living with my sister when the missionaries stopped by tracting. I was at work so my sister asked them to come back later when I was home. I was raised in the Church of Christ so had a good background in the Bible. Everything the missionaries said made so much sense. It was totally logical and scriptural. My sister and I were both baptised. My parents were not happy about it to say the least but they eventually accepted it. We agreed to disagree. I married a couple of years later and my husband also joined the church. Logically accepting the gospel and spiritually accepting are two different things. After four children and lots of scripture study and prayer I finally began the spiritual conversion process. It takes a while for some people. Now I wouldn't know what my life would be like without the church. It is so much a part of it.

How I live my faith

I am secretary for the Primary children's organization at church. I have had other callings over the years have tried to do my best in each one. I try to be a good example to my family.
