Hi I'm ANGIE R

Walk by faith in a world governed by sight. James E. Faust

About Me

Born in Aotearoa. Land of the Long White Cloud. New Zealand. Twelfth child of fifteen - 8 brothers and six sisters. Appreciate the beauty of nature. Convert. Wife. Mum of two. Scottish-Irish-Maori heritage. Living life one laugh at a time!

Why I am a Mormon

As a child growing up in a small coastal town in New Zealand, I acknowledged in my heart there was a God and that Jesus was His son. As I grew into adulthood I came to a sure knowledge God was my Father in Heaven and I his beloved daughter, and I came to KNOW that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and gave His life so that I might live and work out my personal salvation. I became interested in the church because of the example of a dear college friend, Mane, herself a recent convert. When I first heard the stories from the Book of Mormon I recognized names and the stories were familiar, and when the Missionaries told me about God the Father and Jesus Christ appearing to Joseph Smith Jr. ushering in the restoration of Christ's church upon the earth, I KNEW it was all T-R-U-E! That was it for me, and I have not ever regretted my decision to be baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. I grew up in a family of fifteen children, and this church is all about family values and family forever. Because of the gospel knowledge I gain daily, and an eternal perspective, and my testimony of Jesus Christ, I have been able to cope with deaths in the family, illness, and other earthly trials, and I emerged whole and stronger than before. Being LDS is a life choice, and my goal is to travel this road with my family all the way into eternity. Feel free to join us as a travel companion.

How I live my faith

Serving The Lord in whatever capacity he needs me to, whether teaching children, youth or my sisters in the gospel I take 'magnifying' a calling seriously' and always, always emerge a much better person afterwards. I am a hosting missionary at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City and give tours of that wonderful building dedicated as a gathering place, where people come to hear the words of The Lord spoken by his servants. I try and see the positive in all I encounter, and consider mine and my husbands children our most precious blessings.
