Hi I'm Kamaile Nihipali

I'm from Hawaii. I'm a Wife and Mom. I have two special Angels to be accountable for. I love music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play the piano. I've played piano for church since 12 years old. And I've always known that playing music was my talent that the Lord has blessed me with. I knew at age 15 that being the Pianist anywhere in the church was going to be my life long and possibly eternal calling. What I didn't count on was a greater calling as a mother with two special needs daughters. Both with extreme disabilities totally different from each other. I didn't count on my challenges being great such as juggling 3 other on target children along side my two angels. Most people look at me and ask me how do you do it? Sometime they just look? My own normal kids look at me and ask me "Mom how do we do It?" What I love about the gospel of Jesus Christ is that there is so much that I can be reminded of. I'm reminded to do the best I can with what I have and be guided by the spirit. Sometimes asking the Lord for help to just make sure we make it through the day is all that we ask for. I am grateful for the challenges I have. I'm grateful for the music I play. And I'm truly grateful for just being able to serve my friends, family and neighbors.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion took time. Although I was born in the church I still needed to gain my own testimony. Over time from a teenager, to young adult, to being a parent the experiences were like "added" events. And now that I have special children as part of my family our goals is to be good examples to our daughters who may not know or understand what we are trying to do for them. But hopefully they will feel of our spirit. Till this day, the challenges of my two special needs daughters are testimonies to me that the Lord has a plan for them. I know that my human imperfections will sometimes slow down the things that I ought to be doing. But again, I know that the Lord truly has a plan for them on this earth as well as the life here after. Sometimes my husband and I may feel inadequate to care for them or to provide for them but our efforts in communicating with the Lord to have them enjoy their earthly life still is a challenge but we do the best we can by loving them, praying with them, reading the scriptures to them and just being there for them. Knowing that the Lord is there for me to help me with them now is a great comfort to me. I'm a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that God Lives and he answers our prayers. I know that he is a forgiving God. And I know he wants us to be the best that we can be and love one another. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping my family and teaching them gospel principles of Faith, Hope and Charity. I do my best to make sure that I am doing what the Lord would have me do, whether it is fulfilling my callings in the church, or providing help to someone in need or by just taking care of my family. I live my faith by also loving one another. Even loving people I don't even know. I live my Faith my helping my daughters complete their Personal Progress and involve them to experience life and prepare them for the life here after. It feels good to get them involved at home and try and be in tune with the spirit so we can communicate with each other.
