Hi I'm Aki

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful woman and we have four amazing children; three boys and one girl. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing volleyball, basketball, and teaching gymnastics and firearms. I spent nearly twenty years teaching and coaching gymnastics, and ten years working in law enforcement.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church. While a teenager, I attended many different churches with close friends and learned much about other religions. Because my friends knew of my religious background, they expected me to answer their questions and defend my beliefs. In order to make substantive comments about the LDS faith, I began to truly investigate my own religion. As I read the scriptures and thought about all the religious lessons I had as a child, I began to feel a peaceful conviction that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint was true. My childhood learning and the religious exploration of my teens, prepared me to serve a full-time mission in South America. I continue to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive each day to live a christian lifestyle.

How I live my faith

I believe the best way to demonstrate my faith in Jesus Christ is to act with integrity and to serve others. I strive to put other's needs before mine and to follow the example of Captain Moroni, in fighting for what is right!
