Hi I'm Jessica Snyder

I grew up in Gilbert, AZ. I ran cross-country and track for 6 years. I am in school for civil engineering and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just got married in May and we are both attending BYU. My major in civil engineering and I have about 2 years left. I love anything outdoors and physical. I have been running since the 6th grade and ran cross-country and track in high school. Unfortunatley in November 2010 I broke both my leg and ankle and the doctors told me I would never be able to run again. It has been a long, hard road: surgeries, crutches for 3 months, visits to physical therapy, doctors appointments, etc. I am getting stronger each day and I thank the Lord that I am heathy and walking.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a large LDS family of 9. I have and always will be a member of this church. So much of what I am and what I have become is because of this religion. The main thing I have learned from being a mormon is that I have a Savior who died for me and lives again. He loves me and is here to help me through every step of the way. Without him, I am nothing. I could never give that knowledge up. I love being a member of this church and I wish everyone knew what we truly believe.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every sunday and other activities during the week. There are 2 women in my church that I visit every month to share a spiritual message, spend time with them, and try to meet their needs. I read my scriptures and pray everyday which gives the spiritual strength to get through the trial of that day.
