Hi I'm Winston D. Aparri

I'm a Mormon. God-fearing and a law-abiding citizen.

About Me

I play basketball, table tennis, volleyball, chess, and swimming etc. because these are the sports we usually play in the Church. I like surfing the internet esp.facebook to connect friends from around the globe. I love sharing my beliefs or my testimony to others who are not of my same faith. I'm a dad of two girls ages 4 years old and 2 months old. They are great blessings for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was challenge by a friend to ask the Lord if the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. A days after, I got a desire to read the Book of Mormon from the start to end. It took me months of reading. When I reach almost half of the book. I mustered enough courage to ask the Lord if the Book was true by prayer...at this time I don't receive an answer yet to my query but on the night as I was about to start reading the Book of Mormon, there was a book fell from my bed entitle Truth Restored and was opened and got my attention and there the testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith-I quote "Why persecute me for telling the truth? I have actually seen a vision and who am I that I can withstand God, or why does the world think to make me deny what I have actually seen? For I had seen a vision I knew it and I knew that God Knew it, and I could not deny it..." then a very wonderful feeling wrap over my whole body a feeling that i never felt before... From that time I knew that i was answered by the Lord through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God. We read the Book of Mormon as a family together because we know that book is true! My love for the Savior is strengthened each day as we read the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in the Church. I was called to be the Branch mission leader and happy to sit with the missionaries in the branch, planning how we can help the individuals and families strengthened their love to each other especially those investigating the Church. By so doing, my love with my family increases and feel very happy that i have helped my fellow being. It molds me become a responsible father to my children and a good husband to my wife. I live my faith by following the counsels of my leaders of the Church and by sustaining them. I am willing to sacrifice my time and my talent to serve others. I love to serve than be served.

Are Mormons Christians?

Winston D. Aparri
Yes, we are Christians! The name of our Church defined it, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are only called Mormon because of the book we give which is The Book of Mormon. Mormon is also a prophet like Moses, Noah, Abraham, Isaiah, and etc.. Jesus Christ is our God, our Savior and our Redeemer. We worship Him. We love Him with all our heart. We want to follow all his teachings and examples to us. We know that Jesus Christ died because of me, of you, and of us. Show more Show less
