Hi I'm April

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am a mom of 4 great kids (3 boys and a girl) and a step mom to 2 super cute boys. I grew up in Wyoming. I didn't appreciate it until I moved back with my own children almost 3 years ago. During that time I got a divorce. That was something I never thought would ever happen to me. I certainly didn't plan it or even consider it until I had done everything I could to save my marriage. After many trials, struggles, tests of my faith and patience, I met a wonderful man who is amazing and just what I needed. We were married on June 25, 2011. It has been so amazing! It's interesting how the Lord leads and guides you in ways you would never expect! I am certainly grateful for His will and His timing in my life! Sometimes you have no idea your life will turn out the way it does but you can see God's hand in all things. I enjoy reading and getting lost in a good book. I love playing with my kids. I have great aspirations to be a gardener someday and grow a beautiful garden. I enjoy long conversations with family and friends and I have a special place in my heart for the elderly. They are amazing people and I'm grateful for them. I love getting in touch with my crafty side and learning new things. And I LOVE chocolate! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I don't have a big conversion story or anything earth shattering events that made me know the church is true. I always went to church growing up. I had great examples in my parents and church leaders and friends. I never doubted the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. But I certainly had to come to a knowledge of it's truth for myself. I had many spiritual experiences in my life and through living the gospel daily and doing my best the truth manifests itself. I have prayed to know whether the church is true and I can say without a doubt that it is true! The Book of Mormon is the word of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ lives! He came to earth to be our example and he loves us enough that he gave his own life that through him we might be saved and able to return to the presence of Heavenly Father someday. I have a testimony of forever families and the priesthood and tithing. Temple work is one of my favorite things to do. It's amazing! The spirit you feel within the temple is unlike anything else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by the things I do and the choices I make. I try to be a good example for the people I come in contact with and my family and friends. I try to serve others and participate in Sunday meetings as well as other meetings and activities that might happen in the ward or stake. I read my scriptures and pray daily. I try my best to teach my children right from wrong and how to make good choices.

Are Mormons Christians?

We are most definitely Christians! Our church is named for Jesus Christ and He is central to the gospel! Show more Show less
