Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of eight children, five boys and three girls. I had three boys and three girls and then my last pregnancy was twin boys. My children are my most precious gifts. They make me very proud. Five of my children served missions for our Church and my husband and I recently returned from serving 18 months on a mission for our Church. We had four of our children get married the year that we left on our mission, as we came home we are increasing our grandchildren by four also. By the end of the year, I will have 16 grandchildren. I love to do family history work and have found many generations of my ancestors through much work and finding information on the internet and other places. My husband and children are very proficient on the computer and I am learning how to use it also. I love my parents and brother and sisters and try to see them as often as I can. I enjoy family reunions and we have had some very fun ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church by a friend in high school. After I was baptised into the Church, he encouraged me to attend Brigham Young University, which I did. I had a great experience attending this great college. I learned many things about my world and about myself. I met my eternal companion, my husband, there and we completed our education and learned a great deal. Heavenly Father has been a wonderful guide and help to me in my life. I love the Lord and am so greatful for his loving kindness. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and his Son who has done so much for me and for the world in general. Jesus Christ is our Elder Brother and loves us too. He has given us the opportunity to be resurrected after we die. He has also given us the gift of repentance if we but ask and do his will. I know that my Redeemer lives and I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these Latter-days and that Jesus Christ himself leads and guides this Church.

How I live my faith

I enjoy visiting with other sisters in my congregation and sharing our thoughts, feelings and happiness with them. I enjoy meeting with my sisters and doing fun things together like Swap meets, luncheons, service projects, quilting, crocheting and many other activities. I enjoy attending the activities for our neighborhood and our church family. I enjoy attending the Temple and doing the sacred work for my ancestors. I read the scriptures with my husband every day and pray twice a day. I love to talk with my Heavenly Father regularly. I love to do my family history work also.
