Hi I'm Kimberly

I am a convert to the church. I recently moved to Utah from Missouri. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Oct. 2009. My first date with my husband was spent dicussing his church. I knew everything he was sharing with me was the truth and was baptised after 3 meetings with the missionaries. My husband and I were married in Feb 2010. I received my endowments in January 2011. What a blessing it has been to my life. I am a mother of three adult children, and one minor child. I am hoping to return to college soon to complete my early childhood degree. I have been working with special needs children for the last 8 years as a para-professional in elementary schools. My husband and I have moved to Utah from Missouri and love it here. I have horses and enjoy camping, boating, and fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Morman because I know it is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have belonged and experienced many religions and this is the first church that makes sense. Every question I have asked has been answered either by another member, the scriptures, or by prayer. I was baptised and comfirmed in Oct 2009. What a feeling it is to know that Jesus Christ is willing to take on every sin I had made in 46 years! I was at peace for the first time in my life. I knew what my Heavenly Father wanted me to do to have happiness in my life. I was at peace with the things I was doing in my life and having the gift of the Holy Ghost is such a blessing.

How I live my faith

Since I have joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have had so many opportunities to serve my brothers and sisters in our ward and in our community. It never ceases to amaze me how much I am blessed by blessing others with the talents Our Heavenly Father has given to me. I have never had a lot of support from my family and my ward family has definately changed my life in that way. Every trial, challenge, or rough time I have faced, has been easier not only because I am aware that through the atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, our hearts are healed, but also because my sisters from my ward are always there to lift my spirit with kindness. As a ward we do service for all the community, not just church members. We are all children of Our Heavenly Father and are here to serve each other, as Jesus Christ did while on earth. When we are serving each other, we learn to love each other and it also helps us to not focus on ourselves and the issues we are facing in our lifes. I had the opportunity to go to the cannery in Ogden, UT and volunteer my time. We canned green beans for 6 hours. There were 50 other members who also showed up at 5:30 am. I felt the Spirit there so strongly and I knew that what we were doing would help our brothers and sisters to have food in times of need. Whether it is serving my family, my neighbors, my ward family, or a stranger, I know this is what Jesus Christ commands us to do and we are blessed when we follow His commandments.
