Hi I'm Lisa

I live in Colorado. I'm a wife and mother of three. I love to run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started running when I was 11 years old and I've never stopped. By the time I finished High school, I had 7 state titles in Cross Country and Track. After that, I had the opportunity to compete at the varsity level for four years at a division I University. Many of my greatest opportunities came through running. I earned a degree in Business, and best of all, I met my husband. Even today, I enjoy waking up early in the morning and going for a run in all kinds of weather.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the teachings of the church about the importance of families and how we as children of God need to care for one another as brothers and sisters.

How I live my faith

I believe that my body is a gift from God and when I take care of myself, I'm showing my appreciation for that wonderful gift. By living the Word of Wisdom and exercising, I feel that I am prepared to stand and serve with strength. I try to teach this concept to others, especially teenage girls who are bombarded with inaccurate perceptions about their bodies from the media and society in general. I enjoy leading and organizing activities for them such as camping trips and dances so they can have fun and be active. I love to see the youth of the church gather because they gain strength from one another. It helps them recognize their value as individuals. It is my hope they learn that they are all children of a God who loves them without exception.
