Hi I'm Wesley

I'm a mormon. I speak english and spanish. I'm an amateur boxer and currently a missionary in Little Rock AR.

About Me

I grew up in Dallas, Texas and I have one younger sister and a fat chihuahua. I was an amateur boxer in high school. I enjoy working out, spending time with family and friends, and going to movies. After graduating from high school I went to community college for one year, and then chose to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was called to the Arkansas Little Rock Mission and after my 2 year mission I plan to study Business Management.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My dad was also, but my mom converted as a teenager. I grew up learning about everything in the church, so I just accepted it as fact. Later at 8 years old I was baptized. My true conversion came during my teenage years when I realized what a blessing it was to be a member. The counsel we are given is a blessing and can help us keep our lives headed in the right direction. Through reading the scriptures and praying I learned a lot about what God expects of us and how we can live up to his commandments. There is so much unfound truth in the scriptures. The Holy Ghost bears witness that this is the true church of Jesus Christ on the Earth today. My conversion is more like a sunrise, instead of a lightbulb turning on.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the church so I passed through the youth programs. Later I taught the children in Sunday School. I was called to be a missionary for the Church for 2 years in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes, Christ visited the christian believers on the american continent in ancient times. It took place after His resurrection. The people were able to feel his hands and feet and they knew that it was Him. He taught them his gospel, organized his church there with them, and gave them authority. This is a very climactic event in the Book of Mormon and evidence that The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ is our Savior. Show more Show less
