Hi I'm Erin

I've lived in Utah my whole life, I enjoy being creative, I stay at home to raise my kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of two very energetic, curious, and investigative little boys. When I get a moment or two to do what I like it usually involves sewing, blogging, reading, taking photos of my family, or baking a tasty treat. I have a Bachelor's degree in theater studies and a minor in family and human development. I also enjoy good music and feel that is can soothe the soul. Oftentimes it does a better job of expressing my thoughts or feelings then I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the covenant nevertheless I took quite the journey to get to where I am today. I went inactive in my youth and was mostly inactive until my junior year of high school when I took seminary. That year they were covering the Doctrine and Covenants. I spent my year learning about Joseph Smith, the first vision, how the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was organized and how the Book of Mormon came forth to the earth. That year I started attending church regularly because my seminary class had sewn the first seeds of my testimony. The spirit had whispered to me that what I was learning was true and I could not and can not deny it. My testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel has grown since then and I will never deny that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Heavenly Father's church restored to the earth.

How I live my faith

My family and I have a goal to attend church weekly. We make time to attend other church sponsored functions as well such as parties, conference, and auxiliary classes about everything from church doctrine, to cooking, to sewing, and many more. When I receive a calling I do my very best to fulfill that calling in the way that will have the maximum impact for good on my fellow humankind. I have a testimony of visiting teaching and know without a doubt that women need each other. I enjoy visits from other sisters in the ward and love the opportunity that visiting teaching gives me to meet other sisters as well.
