Hi I'm Bev

I'm a Mormon, I grew up in the southwestern USA. I am a retired social worker and I am G-Ma to six wonderful kids!

About Me

I am fifth generation LDS and like Neiphi I was raised by "goodly parents". I graduated from BYU and had a successful career as a social worker and retired after 30 years. I raised two beautiful daughters. I now have three grandsons and three granddaughters, in whom I find great happiness. I served a mission for the church in Nigeria, West Africa. I have, also, served in the Albuquerque Temple. I find great satisfaction in working on my family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it works for me. I have had many spiritual experiences that have assured me of its truthfulness. I have had prayers answered (not always the way I wanted) but I have always come to understand the meaning of the answer. I have had trials and adversity in my life, and have felt the comfort I needed to carry me through. I know that I am the child of a loving Heavenly Father. I have felt the Savior's love for me, and I am so very thankful for that assurance. Since I was left a widow at a young age, with two small children, I find a great comfort in the assurance that I will once again be united with my eternal companion.

How I live my faith

I try to live the teachings to the best of my ability. I try to fulfill my assignments as given to me. I currently teach the 6 and 7 year olds each Sunday morning. That is a very fulfilling assignment, as they are so eager to learn. I visit sisters that are assigned to me to watch over each month. At different times in my life I have held leadership positions that have helped me develop my talents and knowledge. I have at different times in my life, taught in all of the auxillaries and find that to be most rewarding.
