Hi I'm Vitolio

Malo e lelei and fefe hake? The name is Vito...51% Lamanite, 49% Nephite. Im a gospel loving momma's boy, and Im a mormon.

About Me

I love all outdoor sports, especially rugby and football. I've grown to love basketball alot too. Born and raised in the Friendly Islands of Tonga. Im the second oldest of 5 kids. There are 4 boys with my little sister being the youngest. Born of goodly parents. Currently serving on a 2 year mission for the Lord, and am loving every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Catholic faith, so that was all i knew growing up. As a teenager in high school I started to be more serious about my faith in Christ. This led me to compare all the different religions I had come across trying to see which one best fits the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. From the right mode of baptism, sacrament, prophets and apostles, temples etc. by far I had discovered that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints taught all these important principles and ordinances, that of which Christ taught was crucial for our eternal salvation. But all in all, one can be convinced to join any religion as we have seen. But what stands out about the LDS church is that we truly believe in the power of prayer, that if we truly pray with real intent asking Heavenly Father for that which is right Heavenly Father will help us receive an answer as we act in faith. Understanding the power of prayer helped me as I strived to search for the truth. And as I applied it in my search it helped me to gain a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ truly is the Restored Church here on the face of the earth once again.

How I live my faith

I have a duty in my ward back at home which is to visit certain individuals I've been assigned to visit. This visit usually involves the sharing of a scripture verse or thought just to continually uplift and strengthen these individuals which I'm assigned to serve. I also offer my time and service to these individuals which I think is truly awesome because Christ truly taught us that as we strive to follow his teachings we are showing Him that we love him. Thus, he taught us to love our neighbours which is the second and great commandment.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will talk about our basic beliefs, that Jesus is the Christ and that he gave up His life that our sins might be forgiven. They will also talk about the Book of Mormon and why it is so important, and how it teaches about Heavenly Father's plan for us all and Jesus Christ as the center of that plan. Missionaries also help to answer any concerns that people might have about the LDS church and it's teachings or just personal matters. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We literally believe that every individual is either a son or daughter of our Father in Heaven. Thus, meaning that we are all related, being all brothers and sisters. With this in mind we try and go out of our way as much as we can to provide for the needs of others, Mormons or not. I am currently serving a mission, meaning that I have dedicated 2 years of my life to serve and help others. True, we missionaries have helped out a lot of people with home projects and what not. But the best and most important help we try and give individuals is teaching them about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and how through faith in them we can obtain a remission of our sins and be redeemed at the last day. We are all sinners, we all fall short, Mormons or non-Mormons. Thus we all need the help. Show more Show less
