Hi I'm Tyson

I'm a drummer. I'm a student. I'm a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just recently got married in the Fresno Temple. I am a college student. I love music; playing it and listening. I am a drummer in a band. I played drums all throughout junior high and high school. I have played for about 13 years. I love spending time with my family. I love being outdoors and playing sports, hiking, camping, or even just walking and enjoying God's creations. I love the beach and even though I'm not very good at surfing I enjoy trying. Same with snowboarding. I love to longboard even though where I live there aren't any hills. I enjoy math. I love being around people and seeing them learn things and reach their goals. I served a mission in Washington DC speaking Spanish and I absolutely loved it! I love the Spanish language and Hispanic food.

Why I am a Mormon

The church gives me a foundation that keeps me strong in the hard times. There is no better way I could think of raising a family than in the church with gospel teachings in our home. This has become even more clear to me as I start my own family. It really causes me to think in a larger picture. I think about where I want my kids to grow up. How can i be the best father that I can be? Everything I have learned in the church since I was a kid has helped me to know the answers to life's greatest questions. And even when I may not receive the exact answer to a question, the gospel principles have taught me what I must do to be ready for when the answer does come. As I live the gospel, I get closer and closer to attaining my potential. And in the end, that is the most important thing we can do in this life: become who our Father in Heaven wants us to become. I know that He loves every one of His children. He has made the way for each soul to make it back to Him. The only condition is that it is on His terms, not ours. His terms being obedience, humility, faith, repentance, baptism and endurance. Once we realize that and apply it to our lives, we will experience a joy that exceeds that of any other previously felt in our lives. And you will continue to feel that same joy every time you repent and take a step closer to Him.

How I live my faith

I strive to be the best member of Christ's church that I can be in the church and outside the church. My example to others through my actions is my testimony that the gospel is true and that they are the words of God. I feel a true happiness as I serve others. I love to visit those who are newly seeking out the church, or those who are returning after a long time away from the church. The true joy that radiates from these people is also a testimony to me of the truthfulness of the blessings of living the gospel.
