Hi I'm JoAn

I grew up in The Philippines. I'm a Physical Therapist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Baguio City, Philippines and have been in USA working as a physical therapist. I am single. lives alone and a return missionary of temple square mission. I have been a convert of the church for approximately 20 years now. I like to sing, dance, play the guitar, compose songs and listen to inspiring music. I like to read history, biography, fiction and self help books. Learning different cultures is another of my interest. I like to travel and have been into one of "the seven wonders of the world". I like to take pictures of sceneries, events, mountains, waters and of myself :) . I love movies like Harry Potter, LOTR, Twilight and many more.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were separated when I was younger and at that time my mother was looking for a job so she can support us. I have 2 siblings and I was the youngest. My country is very religious and during those days, we have been invited by so many affiliations to join their church but conflicting doctrines made us not join to any of them except of course the religion we were baptized to when we were babies which is Roman Catholic but, we've never attended church there. Until one day, my mother's friend who is a member of "The church if Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" told my mom that she cannot help her find a job at the moment but, she can offer her something worthwhile to my mother and her family. We were introduced to meet with the missionaries and get baptized after investigating the church for almost a year. Me and my families prayed together and individually before we joined the church. later on, after joining the church. My conversion continued and I read the bible and the book of Mormon and my faith in Jesus Christ have been strengthened. Since then, Jesus Christ have become the center of our life and we have been blessed tremendously spiritually, emotionally and temporally.

How I live my faith

I work with the missionaries in sharing my beliefs to friends who are unfamiliar and interested of our beliefs. I sometimes teach at the gospel essential class and participate at a choir organization in our ward. I love to pray and read the scriptures to seek for guidance.
