Hi I'm Scott

I'm an assisted living executive director, father of three, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three. I grew up in Northern California. I love watching and playing basketball. I graduated with a Master Degree in Public Administration from BYU and am now a senior living administrator. I learned the joys of service while serving as a missionary in Brazil at the age of 19. I enjoy photography and time in scenic areas in Northern California. I love spending time with and teaching my children about new things.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a Mormon family gave me the opportunity to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ during my youth. I read the Book of Mormon on my own throughout my youth and always felt the power and spirit of this book as I pondered and prayed about its truthfulness. As I have grown older, I have tested the Lord's promises found in the Bible and Book of Mormon and have gained a strong testimony of the blessing we can receive as we obey God's commandments and seek to live a morally clean life and following the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Following the words of God's prophets, both past and present has brought peace and happiness to my life and the lives of my family that I am confident could be found in no other way.

How I live my faith

I strive every day to improve and grow closer to God through studying the scriptures, praying, and serving those around me. I have received great fulfillment as I teach the youth of my congregation and see them develop and learn and live gospel principles that lead them to happiness. I look for ways to follow Jesus and act as a positive example to those around me each day.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Scott
I know that families are a central part of God's plan of happiness. I have learned and continue to develop Christ-like attributes of love, charity, selflessness, and sacrifice as work to be a good husband and father. I know that I will live with my family after this life if I follow God's commandments, repent, and work to become more like Christ throughout my life. Show more Show less
