Hi I'm Brianna

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I love the Gospel and I love Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, my name is Brianna. I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am serving in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission while I wait for my visa to Brazil where I will serve in Manaus.I have been looking forward to serving Heavenly Father all my life as a missionary and I am so excited to share my testimony of Jesus Christ with all the world. Music has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I am not playing music in some way I find great joy in discovering God's creations in nature. I love that you can see God's hand in every detail of the earth. Life has taught me that while we have to go through trials, Jesus will be right there with you every step of the way. Through Jesus Christ our pains, sorrows, afflictions, and sins can be made right. I have recently lost a few people in my life that meant a great deal to me. But, through the knowledge of the gospel I have found comfort that families can be together forever!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I KNOW that I am a daughter of God. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and to show thanks for His eternal sacrifice, I have committed to follow what I know to be His restored Church. The teachings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are consistent with Christ's teachings in the Bible and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to learn of Christ. I know that I have a divine inheritance and I can live with God again. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He died on the cross so that I can live again. I know that He suffered in Gethsemane for my sins and my sorrows. I know that the atonement is for all my pains, sorrows, afflictions, and sins. I know that Jesus Christ is my big brother and that He loves me enough to die for me. I know that families are eternal. I know that I can live with my family again because we have been sealed in the holy temple. I know that we have a latter-day prophet, Thomas S. Monson, that receives revelation so that he can lead and guide this church according to God's commands. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I know that when Joesph was 14 years old he saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church of God and that Christ is at its head.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and I attend all of my ward activities. I try to give service to others everyday even if it is just a hello and a smile. In short I try to pattern my life after the Savior's. I may not be perfect, but I try to do what is right. I believe in being better tomorrow than you were today and better today than you were yesterday. Life is all about learning, growing, and improving yourself to eventually return back to God's presence. I try to recognize the good things in my day and see how much God loves me through the little everyday blessings He sends my way.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Brianna
Yes, families can be together forever. If a family accepts the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is sealed in the temple for time and all eternity, then the relationships forged here on Earth will continue after death. When I was five years old, my family went to the open house for the Albuquerque, New Mexico temple. My family parked our van and began to head for the shuttle that would take us to the temple site. My little brother needed his diaper changed, so my parents told my grandparents to take my sister and I on ahead. We got to the shuttle as it was about to leave, so my grandparents told us to get on and my parents would catch up later. My sister and I became very upset and when we got to the temple the temple workers invited us to wait for my parents before we went inside. As we waited in the visitor's center, we had the privilege of observing paintings of Jesus Christ. Finally my parents arrived and our whole family went inside the temple together. This experience from when I was five years old, is a symbol to me of the Plan of Salvation. Being together as a family heading towards the shuttle is earth life, my sister, my grandparents, and I leaving my parents behind was like mortal death, waiting in the visitor's center for my parents was like spirit paradise, and finally meeting together again to go through the temple was like entering the Celestial Kingdom. I know that because my family was sealed in the temple I can live with them forever someday. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Brianna
Have you ever woken up early in the morning to see the sun rise? When you see the flowers bloom, doesn't it just make you happy? When you look up at the mountains, do ever stare in awe at their majesty? In all these things and more I see the hand of God. I don't believe that they just happened or that they are just here. I believe that an eternal being, even God, created them for us to enjoy. Yes, science can explain these things, but I believe that God works through science just as we try to understand it. At one point in my life I believed there was a God, but I didn't know that there was a God. Now I know through the feelings stirred in my heart and soul through the Holy Spirit that there is a God and that He is my Heavenly Father. I can see daily in my life that God loves and cares for me as an individual. In the moments when I find a lost item, experience a close shave while driving, and find answers to prayers are moments when I know in my heart that Heavenly Father lives. Show more Show less
