Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother and grandmother, a sister and a daughter. I do family history research both as a hobby and as a profession. I have grown to love the West, although I was raised in the Philadelphia area. I come from a long line of Quaker ancestors, whom I revere and hope to make proud. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was in my mid-twenties. I saw a close resemblance to the religion of my ancestors in the purest sense. Both the early Quakers and the Latter day Saints believe that every individual is equal in the Lord's eyes, that every person has the right to live, and to feel the love of the Savior through worship and through a loving family. Changing from an active Quaker to an active Latter day Saint was not a difficult transition for me to make. I love the Gospel. I love my family. I love the life I have chosen.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith every day and make it an active part of my thought processes and choices. I know there are times when I make mistakes and am grateful to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and allows me to repent. I am ever evolving and try to do better. The Atonement of Jesus Christ makes that evolution possible and as I strive to change my weaknesses into strengths, He walks that walk with me and encourages me with every step.
