Hi I'm Kamille

I am a music major in college, studying piano. Besides music, I love sunshine, camping, and decorating! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in music, with an emphasis on piano. I also play the viola and I love orchestra. I wish I had time to learn every instrument! I am the youngest child in my family. Don't worry, I'm not too spoiled! I love spending time with my adorable nieces and nephews. My family likes to go camping every year, where we have a great time hiking, biking, swimming, eating s'mores around the fire and doing whatever else sounds fun! When I have time, I love to read! I did get sucked into Twilight, and then the Hunger Games. But most of the time I read inspirational books to keep me going during hard times! I love being outside, enjoying nature. Jumping on the trampoline in the rain is a favorite activity of mine! Or laying out on a sunny day is fabulous too!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me peace in times of trial, and it accents my happiness in times of joy! I was raised in the Church, but as I have left home and reached an age of independence, I have chosen to continue living my standards and attending church. I have seen how the gospel has blessed me in temporal ways, as well as mental and spiritual! Living the Church guidelines such as not drinking alcohol, not smoking, being chaste and honest, etc., have got me off to a great start in life! I am not bound to addictions or dishonesty to find satisfaction in my life. Rather, I know that when I make a mistake, or when I'm frustrated or heartbroken, I can turn to my Savior for understanding. His Atonement has made it possible for me (and everyone!) to press forward with faith in spite of past problems, to feel true peace, to truly forgive myself and others, and to make the most of this life! The Book of Mormon is true. As I read it, I recognize truths and applicable principles on every page. They work! We have a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, through whom God can guide His children today. We have a God, a loving Father in Heaven, who loves us and knows us each individually and intimately. As we place our trust in Him and submit our wills to His in patience, He will happily bless us with an outpouring of blessings beyond our expectations!

How I live my faith

I am currently attending a Singles' Branch, organized for young adults about my age (I'm 20) who aren't married yet. It's nice to be with others my own age who are experiencing similar things in their lives and who can relate to me. We can learn so much from each other and can make great friends at church. I have a calling to play the piano in our meetings when we sing hymns. I get that calling a lot as a music major! I enjoy the opportunity to serve the Lord by doing what I love to do so much, play music!
