Hi I'm Zac

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in rural Idaho and when I graduated from high school I moved out of state and began attending college, studying engineering. I enjoy playing basketball, and I am really tall so that's a nice advantage. I also love doing anything that is active or outdoors. I especially like mountaineering, camping, skiing, and hunting. I like to watch sports and cheer for my fav teams! I have an older brother, and a younger brother as well. We all like to go hiking together, and ride motorbikes in the mountains, to name some things we do together. While growing up, my family worked together on our family-owned cattle ranch. After high school, I worked summers doing cement work and roofing for my grandpa's construction company. I also love to hang out with my friends and have fun with them. We always do the regular young adult stuff: video games, music, movies, party's and so on.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I have prayed about it my self and received multiple answers about the truthfulness of the Gospel. I know that the only way to enter the Kingdom of God is to follow the doctrines and teachings of Christ. The Savior also went through the Atonement for our benefit and to help us return to our Father in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet because I have felt the Spirit manifest the truthfulness of it to me. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have read and prayed about it and received answers letting me know that it is true. I know that President Monson and the 1st Presidency and the Quorum of the 12 are also prophets, seers, and revelators of our day and that they are truly mouth pieces for the Lord. I know this Church is true and we can return to Heaven by keeping the commandments and repentance through the Atonement. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I participate with the church in many ways. I have been a home teacher and a family history consultant, as well as various Aaronic Priesthood leadership callings. In the summer of 2011, I am becoming a full time missionary and I will devote all of my time and effort to the Lord Jesus Christ.

What is faith?

Faith is basically hope, except faith is always for things which are true. Faith is very important for everybody to have. Like a fire, the more fuel you add the the fire the bigger it will grow, but if it goes without fuel, it will shrink. It is the same with faith, you build your faith higher by keeping the commandments, and when you aren't building your faith, it is shrinking. It's like the old adage "If you're not moving forward, you're moving backwards." A person always should want to increase the strength of their faith. Show more Show less
