Hi I'm Lynette

I love the great outdoors and helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student who grew up in the church. I live at home and love to be an active part of my family. I grew up in Utah to parents who taught me to live true principles, work hard, and love people no matter what. Recently I served for 18 months in North Carolina. There I helped find those seeking truth, taught them, and was privileged to see them be baptized. That was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I love music, especially playing the piano and singing. There is all around the beauty of nature and I love to spend time hiking, biking, or just taking a nice walk.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I sincerely believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints contains the fullness of the gospel of Christ. This means that every doctrine I need to learn and ordinance I need to become more like Jesus Christ is in this church, and this church only. The gospel contains answers straight from our Heavenly Father about who we are, what this life is for, and the plan he has for us when we die. In a world of theories, philosophies, and so much uncertainty, I am thankful to have this knowledge. It is a solid rock in my life and gives me a reason to hope in the world and in myself. I know God knows me as His child and he helps me along this path to return to Him. I am never alone and if I ever feel that I am, I can turn to Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being kind to others and treating them like I want to be treated. I serve in my congregation by helping organize activities for the women in the ward. I try to help them strengthen their faith in Christ and learn new things and skills. I also visit a couple of girls in the area and make sure they are doing well. Serving others makes me happy!
