Hi I'm Ben

I am from California. I'm a college student who loves sports and being active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student trying to get through my studies and working full time. I work for a development company dealing with real estate. I enjoy what I do and what to make a career out of it. Along with working and studying, I love being active. Any sport or activity sound great to me. I recently started a new found hobby: biking. I also love anything with a board, weather that be surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding or wake boarding. I just think its so cool and fun to do those things with you friends and family. On July 7, 2012, I married my sweetheart. I love her very much and being married to her is the best thing thats happened to me. We enjoy doing many things together and being active. We are both working and going to school, so life is busy, but we are happy. As for my future, I figure that I'm just like everyone else, dreaming of being success full in my business and raising a family. Family has always been very important to me since I grew up in a very family oriented home. My dad is Cuban and I love it when the family gets together. It's always loud and there's lots of food and people and we enjoy each others company so much

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that's it's true. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church of god because I have studied, pondered and prayed to ask god if it is true and I have felt his spirit guiding me. I was born into a Mormon family but it wasn't until I was 17 that I gained a testimony for myself. My parents had always taught me but I came to a point in my life where I had to know, for myself, if this was the true church of god or not. So I started reading the Book of Mormon and praying. It didn't happen all at once but I eventually came to understand that all that I had learned was true. It happened for me while I went to church. It was a testimony meeting which is where the members of the congregation can get up and share their feelings and their testimonies of the church. I haven't ever gone up there, but something inside me told me to get up and share what I know. When I felt this I thought "I'm not even sure of what I know." but I get up anyway. As I stood up and began to speak, this overwhelming feeling came over me. While I continued to share the things that I beleived, I could feel the spirit testifying to me that everything I was sharing was true. I felt the peace and love of god. I knew that god loved me and that he had restored his church in this day, with apostles and prophets, to guide and direct us in this life, so that one day we could return to live with him. I know this is true. Since that day I have seved a mission for the church. I served my mission in Rancagua, Chile. I loved it and I loved sharing the same peace and love that I had felt from my heavenly father, to others. I know that this is the church of god. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of god and that it was translated by a modern prophet, even Joseph Smith, whom god called to be a prophet in this era. I know that there is a living propet on the earth and his name is Thomas S. Monson. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the savior of the world

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as a home teacher. A home teacher and his companion are assigned a few families to visit every month. This is done so everyone is taken care of and if there are any needs of that family, I can be of service to them. I love it cause you can get to know a family really well and come to love them. It makes the church like a big family! I also serve in the church as the ward mission leader. This means that I work with the full time missionaries that are in our ward. We talk and plan how we can help share our beliefs with everyone and how we can encourage the other members to also share their religious convictions with their friends and family. We share principles like: Where do we come from?, Why am I here?, and Where am I going after I die? Its great cause I get to help others learn more about our religion and share with them the things that make my life happy and gives me a purpose in life.
